Description

This Banarasi viscose saree balances a clean, minimalist body layout with a deeply artistic and structural border and pallu design. The main body of the saree is characterized by an expansive base fabric punctuated symmetrically with delicate silver zari butis, each styled as a single twig carrying textured leaves and detailed florets. This uncluttered body transitions sharply into a dynamic, broad lower border featuring a prominent tree-of-life landscape design. The artwork shows winding tree trunks reaching upward with slender branches and dropping leaves, beautifully complemented by miniature potted shrub motifs filling the spaces underneath.The design extends onto the pallu, which is geometrically paneled with wide, vertical silver zari stripes. Woven between these gleaming borders are multiple horizontal rows of alternating leaf clusters and stylized floral sprigs. The entire design layout is securely framed on both the upper and lower edges by multiple fine design guards, including a broad diagonal chevron tracking stripe and a crisp row of micro-temple patterns. The saree is cleanly finished with a matching protective piping on the selvedge and simple, hand-knotted thread tassels hanging along the pallu edge.
